Double room was high-class with comfy bed. Really enjoyed excellant breakfast options with a fabulous view and bowl of Cullen skink, for example. The location was stunning and lovely as for me, right by the boardwalk, the bar / Restaurant, and castle up over the hills.

Oh, the Pork Belly at The Ship Inn was a culinary delight! Juicy, tender, and bursting with flavor, it was a dish worthy of rave reviews. Not to mention, always ready with a smile and helpful tips. Breakfast was an absolute highlight too-fresh and delicious, fueling our day of exploring Stonehaven!
Stairs were a bit of a workout, especially for those with mobility issues, but a friendly staff member was there to help with luggage. Otherwise, everything was spot on!
